Draw for the fourth round of the Carabao Cup sees holders Manchester City take on Liverpool, while Burnley will travel to face Manchester United.
Man City’s reward for knocking out Chelsea is another huge home tie, this time against Liverpool;

Manchester United will play host to Vincent Kompany’s Burnley, while Eddie Howe’s Newcastle will play host to his old club Bournemouth; fixtures to be played week commencing December 19 – just days after the World Cup final Man City have been handed a blockbuster draw against last season’s winners Liverpool in the Carabao Cup fourth round. The match will take place at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester

City (four) and Liverpool (one) have won the previous five editions of the tournament, with Jurgen Klopp’s side defeating Chelsea (who were thrashed at the Etihad on Wednesday) in the final of the competition last season. City has won the competition four times, while Liverpool has won it once.
The championship game between the two teams took place in 2016, and it ended in a 1-1 stalemate at Wembley before Manuel Pellegrini’s Manchester City side won the match on penalties.
Burnley are currently leading the Championship and are managed by Vincent Kompany, who was formerly the captain of Manchester City and won four Premier League titles with Man City’s rivals, Manchester United. In another matchup in the fourth round, Manchester United will face Burnley, who are currently in first place in the Championship.
Eddie Howe will face a reunion with his previous team Bournemouth, who will travel to St. James’ Park to take on high-flying Newcastle. Nottingham Forest will have a trip to Blackburn as their reward for surprising Tottenham.
The last four teams in the EFL each had challenging matchups against teams from the Premier League. The MK Dons will play home to Leicester, Charlton, the lone remaining London team, will face off against Brighton, League Two outfit Gillingham will make the trip to Wolves, and the Lincoln Lincoln will play at Southampton.
Since the matches are scheduled to take place during the week of December 19, it is possible that several of the teams participating, most notably Manchester United, Manchester City, and Liverpool, might have players competing in the World Cup final only a few days earlier.
